Full access to all the studios, instruction, priority seating; membership at Craft and STEM means that you have what you need to succeed at your craft.

Our fully stocked studios offer flexible workspace for whatever project you can conjure up. Safety, quality, predictability and efficiency are essential for a production studio, and you will find them all at Craft and STEM.

Our knowledgeable staff are passionate about crafting, building and making, and about making sure our members are successful.

Whether you need advice about which materials to use for your desired outcome, instruction on a new skill, a specific type of tool, or just another set of eyes and ears to bounce ideas off—the founders and staff at Craft & STEM want to help!

The first step in production is invention, then prototyping and refining. At Craft and STEM, special attention is paid to these parts of the process; work done, and detailed attention paid in the beginning stages make or break the final result.

With the right amount of each applied properly you can go from a sketch, to prototype, to your first production run quickly & easily.

We want our members to make money! So, of course, we have created a production studio in which you can explore your art, produce more of it efficiently to meet growing demand.

This means there are no limits on what or how much you can make here. In the Pottery Studio, the size of our kilns are the only size limitations. Make more, sell more; repeat as necessary.

Get full access to all of the brand new equipment in our 1300 square foot pottery studio, and all the tools in our growing inventory. Members get their own rack cart for storing tools and works in progress, and extra rack cart space is available for rent when necessary.

With six wheels, two kilns, 100+ slip casting molds, & slab roller to start with, the Mud Bakery is built for turning clay into money.

Membership at Craft & STEM includes access to our ongoing pottery instruction workshop, Fundamentals of Clay. These weekly, two-hour classes are perfect for beginner & advanced potters. Socialize, brainstorm then push yourself to improve!

Share knowledge & learn from others’ experiences. Grow fundamental skills & lasting friendships with passionate potters.

The Mud Bakery keeps a steady supply of Laguna clay and locally made glazes on hand at all times.

These materials have been tested for compatibility with our kilns and recycled as much as possible onsite. All members and students are required to purchase and use only these materials. Clay prices include glaze and firing costs and are subject to change at any time.

We are passionate about education and encourage all the makers that come through our doors to explore ways to incorporate new mediums and techniques into their craft.

To that end, Craft & STEM will regularly host special workshops and workshop series. Members get priority seating for any and all of these events, and early access to all of the content created from them.

STEM Labs was created to empower makers & inventors. A wide selection of new hand and table top tools can be found in each work station. Pliers, precise screw drivers, magnifying solder stands and ESD equipment stand at the ready in Fabrication Room 2.

In Fab 1, heavier hand tools, files and clamps are all within arm’s reach. Safety equipment, too: eye protection and full-face shields.

Safety training for all equipment is mandatory and will be covered first in each class and workshop. Unsupervised use of any equipment is granted once competency has been established and verified by C&S staff.

Ongoing classes for soldering and drone making are enrolling now, and private lessons are available during studio open hours. Walk-ins are welcome!

The line of Smooth On products available at Craft & STEM have been extensively researched and verified for safety, as the laboratory is child safe.

In order to maintain and ensure the safety of members, staff and customers, individuals may not bring their own materials for mold making or casting. If you need something specific, let us know and we’ll see what can be done!

See the Schedule for current and upcoming classes. Tuition for all classes offered in the plastics lab is included in your membership dues, materials costs are separate.

Members also get priority seating in special workshops & events. Non-members can purchase classes a la carte or in bundles. Email or call for purchasing and scheduling information.
